“This program really works, I went out tonight for the first time, I had my Sisters of Savings binder, my savings tips, and calculator . My first stop I purchased
  • 7 Viva paper towels,
  • 10 bags of Success brown rice, and
  • 9 Philly cream cheeses.

My total should've been about $23.00 and I only spent 3.23! A 91% savings!

Also I purchased $37.00 worth of scrubbing bubbles (12 cans) for a little over $5.00! This is just crazy. Who knew that using coupons the right way would save this much money? My stock pile is looking GREAT!

This is amazing!!!!

I bought 25 participating items at TT that totalled $34.xx. After 11 coupons the total dropped to $14.99. After paying, my $20 catalina printed. They paid me $5.01 to shop!!! And to make it better a $1.00 off coupon printed for Granola bars that are part of the sale.  I will start my next purchase with $21.00 off!!! Woo Hoo

Happy dance...happy dance...happy dance. It just does not get any better than this!
I love you $o$  SHANE

This is going to sound silly but I am new to this whole thing and now my fridge is overflowing because of the whole TT $10 catalina thing.   I had no idea you could put lunch meat and hot dogs in the freezer.

We, my mother and I were at Walmart  and something there happened that made me sad and happy at the same time. My mother had finished paying for her groceries... (just meats and produce of course) and I went back and got me a bottle of Dr. pepper. I went to the 20 or less line and there was this sweet little old women standing there counting change. I noticed that she had groceries in her basket already but sitting on the checkout thing was bananas, a cucumber, tuna, and onions. She was digging for change and said I REALLY need those bananas. Well they rang up the bananas and it was .69 all she had was .21 so I threw .50 up there. At that time my mother came up behind me and paid for the rest of her groceries and her soda she forgot to pay for. The little lady was teary eyed and kept saying God bless you I feel so embarrassed I told her not to be embarrassed just when she gets the chance to pay it forward. She kissed us on the forehead and said she just got out of the hospital with pneumonia and thought she had budget her money right. I am so grateful that this site has taught us to be the giving people we are!!! I have always been giving but I would probably haven't of gave like we did today! I love this site and remember to GIVE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot say thank you enough.  Everyone on the boards gives such great advice and information.  I joined in December and now my mom has joined too.  It is true, You can teach an old dog new tricks.  Love Sisters of Savings!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I LOVE SISTERS OF SAVINGS!!!!!!

I finally got to go to the class on Saturday, and even though I had a pounding migraine, it was so great!  Can't wait to start saving Texasmama

Sounds like we have a few things in common...our house ended up costing more, as well, and I'm still reeling from the blow. Am much better, now since finding the sisters!!! What a blessing this is to me. And also a lot of fun!!! Gayla

Been couponing hard core the past few weeks and am loving it!  I used to hate to buy ANYTHING because it seemed so expensive.  Now, I am saving tons of money so it doesn't feel so bad plus I look forward to heading out and getting a deal.  With CHF (congestive heart failure... got it at 25 and I'm almost 40) I don't usually have a lot of energy for things.  This has been wonderful exercise and a great motivator! I really like the "community" feel of this program This is EXACTLY why I wanted to join!  Love the "community" feeling!  Thanks for your help!  Catintx

All of you newbies, I am Gayla, I  don't feel like a new member, anymore. SOS feels like family. A few months ago, I couldn't feed my family and pay my bills on time. This resulted in late fees, overdraft fees, and basically just a big MESS!!! I learned about SOS, and I can't tell you how much it has changed my family's lives. In a very short time, I was actually balancing a budget again! It's still tight for us, as there are other areas that need improvement, but the groceries are under control, and the bills are current!!! It feels so good!!!

I attended the workshop and joined the Buddy List.  I am pretty coupon savy, but the workshop was well worth my time, and I learned A LOT!!  Left the workshop ready to shop...hit Albertson's, Tom Thumb, CVS, and Walgreens.  My husband could NOT believe all the groceries I came home with, and with very little out of pocket!!

I can't wait to get my first buddy list!! S

Hello, I  am new to SOS, but not new to coupon shopping. I want to thank you for all the great info I have learned. I am proud to be a part of such a friendly, and supportivegroup that is doing so much good.  Momof4

This week (Friday to Tuesday) the savings listed are just from Store #2.  OOP  $142.87
Saved  $592.29

Someone mentioned it is like winning, I equate it to earning..........the savings money that I will not have to spend that was budgeted for our family, so it can go somewhere else and make a positive impact for our family & our finances!

When I first introduced myself, I talked about saving up to 40% on my first try.
Well, I went to Tom Thumb yesterday and purchased 5 packs of their Hillshire Deli Select Lunch meat (on sale 2 for $4) for a total of $10. After I paid, it immediately printed me a $10 catalina off my next shopping trip. So, I grabbed 5 more Hillshire's ($10) and went through the line...handed over my $10 catalina and got those for free!!! cha-ching!!! And lo and behold, it printed ANOTHER Catalina for $10......you see where I'm going with this right? Apparently Sara Lee is having a promotion and it is AWESOME!!

This is FUN!!!!

Tara:

First I have to say thank you to Kasie.  She texted me today and was asking me if I had been to store #2.  I said no, for various reasons, including a knee injury when I went skiing last week.  Well that pushed me to call Keisha, be best friend, and ask her if she felt like putting up with me at the store since I can't walk very fast.  She said yes, of course...love ya girl!

Anywho, here's what happened....

I got 142.93 in groceries

Not only did she go with me but she rode in the old lady cart cause I was embarrassed.  We had fun riding around that store shopping.
